FAQ

Here we will try to answer as many of the most popular questions we receive from clients!  We hope this helps... if you do not see a question you may have, please feel free to email us.

* What comes with my sitting fee?
The sitting fee pays for the time and talent of the photographers, this includes time for shooting    and time for editing.  We do include a $75 print credit with any lifestyle sitting fee.  This includes, family, children, maternity, and original nature photo sessions.

* What is a "print credit"?
A print credit is an allowance we give for prints and products up to $75.  After the post-processing
of your photo session we upload all your pictures in an online password protected gallery.  Once   you have access to your online gallery you will see a shopping cart where you may order any print you
like in a variety of sizes.  We also offer a number of products you can order from your gallery as
well.  The print credit basically gives you your first $75 dollars worth of prints/products for free!  For
example, say you order $130 dollars worth of prints, all you owe us at Soul Rebels is $55 after your
 print credit!

*What should I wear to my photoshoot?
At Soul Rebels we like bright and colorful clothes!  We definately want you to be... well you! We
also understand that you are paying for this session, so it maybe nice to get out of your comfort
zone a little bit for your session.  We do recommend no matching solid colors, for example,
a family in blue jeans and matching black shirts.  This will make yall look too uniform and possibly
like a blob of black for those close and personal shots.  We understand if you want you and your
family to all be insync, so maybe try a collection of colors that look good together.  Go with a
combination of earth tones, or bright colors instead of one solid color theme.  Also, please never
wear just plain old white.  White reflects light, so if it is a sunny day and we are shooting at 2 in the
afternoon, its going to be really hard to get a shot where your face is not lit up from your shirt. We
usually recommend atleast two outfits to each session.  So you could go with a more casual
outfit (team jerseys, camo if you like to hunt, cowboy boots if you like country, etc), and then
a dressier outfit for more intimate, formal photographs.  So maybe a cute cocktail dress for her,
and jeans with a nice button down shirt for him.  We LOVE accessories, so the more jewlery,
scarves, hats, shoes, etc, the better!!   Like I said, we LOVE color!!  This is your photoshoot, so go
all out, perhaps use google for outfit ideas, or look at our porfolio (under "our work") to get some
       ideas of what looks good!

*What if I want to purchase the disc, but don't have the money right now?
All Hi-res images are available for purchase on disc for up to year from the time of your photoshoot.

*Do I have to pay a deposit?
Yes, we require a $50 deposit in order to hold your session.  We will send you a request through pay
pal over email.  You do not have to have a paypal account in order to pay.  The $50 deposit will go towards your session fee, so the amount due for a $250 sitting fee once you've paid your deposit will be the remaining $200.  This deposit is non-refundable if your session is rescheduled or canceled within 2 weeks of your scheduled session.  In order to receive your $50 deposit back, you must cancel atleast 2 weeks before your scheduled session.

* How long will it take to get my photos?
Our turn over time for lifestyle, family, children, and senior shoots is 4-6 weeks.  After 2-3 weeks you should see your sneak peak on our blog and/or facebook.  In 2-3 more weeks, you will receive an email with your password for your online gallery, where you may view all your images and prints and products will be available for order.  If you purchased your images on disc, this will be mailed out at that time.  We try to get your pictures to you as soon as possible, however, we spend quality time on each shoot to ensure quality work is made.  We are just as anxious as you to see your images, so please give us patience when getting your photos to you.  It will be worth the wait!

* Can I suggest places to take our photos?
Yes!!!!!  We love suggestions!!  If there is a particular location you have in mind, feel free to share!!  These are your pictures, so we want to make sure you get exactly what you want!

* Do yall have a studio?
We are onsite photographers!  We do not have a studio, with studio back drops, etc.  We do not offer backdrops as an option for pictures.  We are less traditional and love to photograph in new and different places.  We use natural light in our photography, so outside is our ideal setting.  We will come to a clients home for photographs if that is something that is requested.  For example, our newborns are usually done inside at the clients home.

* Do offer anything other than prints for purchase?
We do!!  We offer a variety of products from gallery wraps, to metal wall pieces.  We also offer storybook photo albums for any client, any session.  You can find more information about our products under "Prints and Products" section on our blog.

* What kind of equipment do you use?
We are Canon girls!  We shoot 100% digital with Canon 7D and Canon Rebel cameras.  We have a variety of Canon lenses we use at each shoot.  We also use Canon Speed lights in low-light situations.  We use natural light with all our sessions, and sometimes use quality reflectors to bounce light.  We do all our editing in Photoshop CS4 and Bridge.
